Riley Two-Point-Six

Riley 2.6 ( 1959)

The Riley 2.6 was a car from Riley.

Description

The model replaced the Riley Pathfinder as the largest limousine model of the company.

Whereas its predecessor was still a Riley - development, the 2.6, the body informed the Wolseley 6/90 Mk III and had only one other grille, a different logo and two-tone paint. He had a six-cylinder in-line engine of the BMC C- series with 2639 cc and 101 bhp (75 kW), which gave the car a top speed of 149 km / h.

That was less power than its predecessor with the " Big Four" - engine. The Riley 2.6 was an economic mistake and was taken off the market in May 1959. It was the last six-cylinder model of the brand.
