Rina Lazo

Rina Lazo ( born October 23, 1923 in Guatemala City ) is active in Mexico gualtemaltekische painter and graphic artist. She lives in Coyoacán.

Biography

Rina Lazo was the daughter of Arturo Lazo and Melanea Wasem. After education at the Colegio Alemán, she studied in Guatemala at the Academia de Bellas Artes and subsequent to 1954 as a fellow of painting with Diego Rivera at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura Mexican, Escultura y Grabado " La Esmeralda". In addition, she studied at the Taller de Grafica Popular Among Leopoldo Méndez, Pablo O'Higgins and Arturo García Bustos her present husband graphics. Due to her talent she asked Rivera about 1947 to assist her with some of his murals and described it as his " right arm " and his " best assistant ." Cooperation with Rivera lasted until his death in 1957. They even painted many murals in the style of the Mexican school in Mexico and in their home country.
