Ringleben, Kyffhäuserkreis

Ring Life is a municipality in the east of the circle Kyffhaeuser in Thuringia ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Management Community Central Artern center based in the city Artern.

Geography

The community is located between the broad valley of the Unstrut and the Kyffhaeuser mountains in a very fertile area, which is also called the Ried. Scenic meet here the Goldene Aue ( north of Kyffhaeuser located ) and the Diamond Pasture (south of Kyffhaeuser located ) to each other. The city Artern is 5 km away, Bad Frankenhausen about 10 km, and the Saxony-Anhalt Sangerhausen about 12 km.

History

The first written mention of ring life ( Rinkelebo ) dated from as early as 786, but it is believed that the place at the time existed 400 years. Ringleben belonged successively to the counts of Stolberg, the lords of hero changes as well as the counts of Schwarzburg. In the ring of life, which was equipped with reinforced gates and walls, there was a Thingstätte. Here justice was spoken in the 16th century. The community was at the intersection of two ancient trade and military routes ( military road from Bad Frankenhausen to Artern and trade route from Erfurt to Lübeck.

Traffic

Ring life is on the direct road from Bad Frankenhausen to Artern. Of these two cities of federal roads lead in all directions. 10 km north can be reached via the motorway connection Sangerhausen -west on the motorway 38 (Kassel - Halle ( Saale) ). The Federal Highway 71 crosses approximately 2 kilometers east of the ring life Unstrut, the nearest connection point is Artern. The nearest train station is also located in Artern on the railway line Sangerhausen Erfurt.
