Rinn
Rinn is a municipality with 1,700 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Innsbruck Land of the federal state of Tyrol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Hall in Tirol.

Geography
Rinn is on a Talschulter ( low mountain range ) east of Innsbruck.
The community consists of a scattered village on the road and another scattered hamlets and farmsteads.

History
Etymology
The name is first occupied in 1250 as Runne. Perhaps the name comes from the word Romansh Run for clearing center back ( clearing for settlement areas on the highlands). The name is sometimes interpreted as running or still water line.
