Río Piedras, Puerto Rico

Río Piedras, the largest district of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Founded in 1714, it houses since 1903, the most important university in the country. This has the public botanical garden of San Juan, can be found in over 200 species. Río Piedras with the districts Caimito Cupey, El Cinco, Gobernador Piñero, Hato Rey, Monacillo, Oriente, Quebrada Arenas, Sabana Llana, Tortugo and Universidad was originally independent, but was incorporated on 1 July 1951.
