Jump out of the clouds ( Original title: Ripcord to German lanyard) is an American television series, were later turned from the 1961-1963 in 76 episodes, first in black and white in color. The ARD beamed them of 48 half-hour episodes in the early evening.

Overview

The show is about two parachutists, Jim and Ted, which operate the parachutist school " Ripcord " and the pilot Chuck Lambert and whose plane Old Betsy. The series showed a variety of adventures around the then new sport of skydiving. The men and their plane came in unusual situations where the special knowledge and skills of the team were required. This could both criminal hunts and daring rescues to be when they occasionally seemed absurd.

The stunts skydiving were performed by Bob Fleming and Joe Mangione. Fleming also acted as a pilot if he was not involved in a parachutist scene. The stunts were considered sensational and were sometimes dangerous. It was during the filming about a collision of two aircraft.
