Rishod Sobirov

Rishod Sobirov (Cyrillic and Russian Ришод Собиров Rischod Sobirow; born September 11, 1986 in Burbogi, Bukhara Province ) is an Uzbek judoka. It occurs in the super light weight of ( class up to 60 kg).

Sobirov won the 2005 at the Junior Asian Championship title in the category up to 55 kg. In 2007 he went to at the Asian Championships in adult category up to 60 kg and received the silver medal behind the Iranian Masoud Haji Akhound Zade. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing Sobirov received the bronze medal, after losing only against the South Korean Olympic champion Choi Min-ho. 2009 Sobirov won bronze at the Asian Championships.

Sobirovs most successful year was 2010: He won the tournaments in Suwon ( Masters), Tunis and Moscow and finished in Paris and Rio de Janeiro each second. After he won the title at the World Championships in Tokyo and at the Asian Games in Guanzhou. 2011 Sobirov won the Masters Tournament in Baku and the tournaments in Paris and Moscow. In August 2011, he defended his world title in Paris. After Sobirov had lost in early 2012 at the Masters tournament in Almaty in the final against the Russians arsenic Galstjan, he won again in February at the show in Paris. At the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London Sobirov won four years ago in Beijing again the bronze medal.
