Rita Chikwelu

Rita Chikwelu ( born March 6, 1988 in Asabe, Nigeria ) is a Nigerian football player.

Career

Chikwelu began her career at Akwa Starlets FC and joined in the spring of 2006, the Finnish first division club FC United Piertasaari. After 3 ½ years at FC United Piertasaari she moved in July 2009 to Turun Palloseura. After only half a year in which they came up just playing with Torun PS, you joined in January 2010, the Swedish first division club Umeå IK. After her move to Sweden she was 8 August 2010 her debut in qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League against ASA Tel Aviv.

Internationally

Chikwelu achieved in 30 international matches 15 goals for the Nigerian national football team of women. She represented her native country at the U-19 World Cup Women 2004, 2006 and 2008. Seniors on level Chikwelu played the World Cup of Women in China in 2007 and the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
