Ritthem

Ritthem is a Dutch village near the Scheldt estuary in the Dutch province of Zeeland in the peninsula Walcheren. Since 1966 the village belongs to the municipality of Vlissingen.

History

1235 the village is first mentioned.

Attractions

  • The tower of the Protestant village church was built in the early 14th century and has a lateral stair tower. The nave dates from the 16th century
  • Slightly southeast of the village is Fort Rammekens on the Scheldt.
