River Axe (Lyme Bay)

The Axe is a river in the southwestern English counties of Devon, Dorset and Somerset. It rises northwest of the town of Axminster Beaminster in Dorset, initially flows west and then south and ends at Axmouth near Seaton in the English Channel. The small stream of water is not navigable only in the mouth region boats can operate. In the river, there are trout and occasionally salmon.
