The Goyt is a river in north-west England and, together with the Etherow and the Tame, one of three headwater streams of the Mersey. It rises in the moors of Axe Edge in an area that is known as the upper Goyttal. After its union with the Etherow it flows in Stockport, together with the Tame, then weiterzufließen as Mersey.
