The River Torrens is a river in Adelaide in the Australian state of South Australia. It flows from the Adelaide Hills Adelaide across the Indian Ocean and is - except for a length of 1 km in the city center for tourists - not navigable.

He was named as the Lake Torrens after the Australian economist Robert Torrens.
