The Welland in Stamford ( Lincolnshire )

The Welland ( Welland River ) is a 105 km long river in eastern England. It rises near Market Harborough in Northamptonshire and flows in a northeasterly direction through Stamford, Market Deeping and Spalding in the North Sea, in which he opens below by Fosdyke in the bay The Wash. He is one of the major waterways in the area of the part known as South Holland the Fens in Lincolnshire. Below Spalding he is tide dependent.
