Rixheim

Rixheim (Alsatian Rixa ) is a French town with 13,145 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. The city belongs to the district Mulhouse, on the Canton Habs home and is a member of the Mulhouse Alsace AgglomÃ.

Geography

Rixheim is almost six kilometers east of Mulhouse. After his first locality Rixheim the sword is named. Here was one of the Teutonic Order, whose still existing buildings were built by Johann Caspar Bagnato. She was under the Deutschordensballei Altshausen.

Neighboring communities of Rixheim are Sausheim in the north, Ottmar home in the Northeast, Hombourg in the East, Habs home and room home in the south, Bruebach the southwest, Riedisheim in the west and Illzach in the northwest.

History

Long the place was a center of the wallpaper production. This fact is the existence of the Tapestry Museum owe. It is at the site of the existing wallpapers since 1797 production, the German Order Coming, housed and traces the history of wallpaper from the 18th century until today.
