Riza Lushta

Riza Lushta ( born January 22, 1916 in Kosovska Mitrovica, Kingdom of Serbia, † 1997) was an Albanian football player.

The striker began his career as a youth player at Rudar (now Trepça '89 ) and then switched to SK Tirana, the Albanian it three league titles (1934, 1936 and 1937 ) and the first Albanian Cup (1939 ) fetched. 1936 and 1937, he was top scorer. Later in his career were Bari, Juventus ( Coppa Italia in 1941 ), Naples, Alessandria, Cannes, Siena (3rd League ), Forlì and Rapallo (both 4th league). In 1954 he ended his active career 38 years old.

Overall Lushta completed 170 games in Serie A, scoring 68 goals. Nevertheless, he was not active in the Albanian national team. He died at the age of 81 years. Today, the football stadium of his hometown is named after him.
