RK Borac Banja Luka

RK Borac Banja Luka ( Serbian Cyrillic: РК Борац Бања Лука ) is a Bosnian - Herzegovinian handball club, which was founded in 1950 in Banja Luka. The colors of the club are red and blue. The club plays in the sports hall Borik ( Dvorana Borik ). The hall is located in the Borik and was named after this. The hall has a capacity of 5000 seats (3000 seats and two standing).

Since the founding of the Handball League of Yugoslavia in 1957 until the dissolution in 1992 the club was to be a member. In the years 1959 to 1981, the club seven times champion. In Europe Champions Cup Borac reached the finals in 1975, a year later in 1976 they won the title.

In the years 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997, RK Borac Banja Luka champion in the newly founded League of Republika Srpska. Champion Vereinscup was the club in the League of Yugoslavia ten times since 1992, four times, most recently in 1997. In 1991 RK Borac Banja Luka won under coach Velimir Petkovic the IHF Cup. In 2013 Borac Banja Luka won the Bosnian championship.
