RK Crvena zvezda

RK Red Star Belgrade (full official name in Serbian: Рукометни клуб Црвена звезда, Rukometni club Crvena Zvezda ), the handball section of Red Star Belgrade, a Serbian sports club founded in 1945 from the capital Belgrade.

History

The club is actually since 1945, the handball section but was first launched on October 1, 1948 to life. Much like the football and basketball division and the handball division quickly became the series champion and this has remained until today. Unlike other teams like Metaloplastika Sabac, Borac Banja Luka or Partizan Bjelovar but the club never won an international title. The greatest success of recent club history was the semi-finals of the European Cup Winners' Cup 1995 /96 apply. Meanwhile, you are indeed still the other teams in the Serbian league ahead, but has internationally even less chance than before. In the EHF Champions League 2006/07 season, the club already retired from the group stage.
