Hardwick Bridge over the Roaring Fork River at Carbondale

The Roaring Fork River is a 113 km long left tributary of the Colorado River in the U.S. state of Colorado. The river rises above Aspen in the Sawatch Range in Pitkin County west of Independence Pass. Shortly afterwards opens the Difficult Creek and later in Aspen on Castle Creek. In basalt he crossed the border to Eagle County. There also opens the Fryingpan River. In El Jebel he crosses the border to Garfield County. Below Carbondale opens the Crystal River in the Roaring Fork River. Other tributaries are the Snowmass Creek, Brush Creek, Maroon Creek and Woody Creek. The Roaring Fork River also feeds the Twin Lakes Reservoir.

The confluence with the Colorado River is located in Glenwood Springs.
