Rob Awalt

Robert Mitchell Awalt ( born April 9, 1964 in Landstuhl ) is a former American football player who has played at the position of tight ends.

Awalt played seven years in the NFL. In 1987 he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals. The team moved a year later to Phoenix to and thus changed its name to Phoenix Cardinals. In 1990 he moved to the Dallas Cowboys, where he played for two years. Then he went to the Buffalo Bills, with whom he was in 1992 and 1993 in the finals of the Super Bowl, which was but lost both times. In 1993 he ended his professional career.

In 1987 he was honored by United Press International with their NFL - NFC Rookie of the Year Award.
