Rob Byrnes

Rob Byrnes ( born December 8, 1958 in Rochester, New York) is an American author.

Byrnes grew up in Rochester. After his schooling Byrnes studied at Union College Schenectady, New York, where he received his degree. Byrnes was then professionally active in politics and in the administration. During his tenure as staff for two members of the New York State Assembly in 1981 and 1986, he ran as a candidate for Monroe County in upstate New York.

In 1996, Byrnes to Manhattan, where he has worked in the non- for-profit business. Furthermore Byrnes writes an author in the LGBT sector. He has published the novels The Night We Met, Trust Fund Boys, the short story Strange Bedfellows and 2006 the novel When The Stars Come Out, for which he received the Lambda Literary Award.
