Rob Caggiano

Rob Caggiano ( born November 7, 1976 The Bronx, New York City ) is an American guitarist, sound engineer and music producer. He was intermittently from 2001 to early 2013 the line-up of thrash metal band Anthrax. In early February 2013, was officially presented as the guitarist of the band Volbeat.

Biography

Caggiano was born in New York City and grew up there. At age nine, he began to play guitar and drums and later focused exclusively on the guitar. In 1996, he was among the founders of Nu- Metal band Boiler Room, with whom he recorded the album Can not Breathe recorded in 2000 and released. The band broke up in 2001. Anthrax was the same time as looking for a second guitarist. Caggiano, who knew the band members for some time, applied for the position and was hired by an audition. Since the early 2000s Caggiano forms, together with Eddie well the production team Scrap 60 and operates his own recording studio. Among the most famous bands whose albums he produced, including Cradle of Filth and Bleeding Through. Furthermore Caggiano worked as a sound engineer on tours of bands like Motörhead and Judas Priest. In 2011 he produced the song Forgive me Father ( I am in a trance ), on the Cradle of Filth Evermore Darkly EP. On February 4, 2013 presented the Danish band Volbeat Caggiano ago as new guitarist. He thus takes the since the end of 2011 not been occupied space of ex- guitarist Thomas Bredahl.

Caggiano is unmarried, has no children and lives in Los Angeles.
