Rob Cohen

Rob Cohen (born 12 March 1949 in Cornwall, NY ) is an American film director and film producer.

He studied anthropology at Harvard University and worked with during his studies at TV productions. 1978 saw the founding of his own production company. He produced, inter alia, The Witches of Eastwick. His debut as a director, he was in 1980 with the film Under good friends. He also worked on several TV series, as, inter alia, on Miami Vice. In 1993 he returned with Dragon - The Bruce Lee Story back to the cinema and turns since the large number of successful films. One of the most famous is xXx - Triple X with Vin Diesel in the lead role. In many of his films, he has brief appearances. Alongside he also wrote several screenplays, so among other things, for the horror film The Ritual - The Curse of the evil from the year 2001.

One of his last projects was the sequel The Mummy Returns, this film was released on 7 August 2008 in German cinemas, titled The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
