Rob Maas

Rob Maas (born Robertus Leonardus Adrianus Maas, born December 17, 1969 in Eindhoven ) is a former Dutch football player.

Career

His footballing career started Rob Maas in his hometown of Eindhoven in the VC Tuindorp and RPC Eindhoven, before he played in the youth of the top clubs PSV Eindhoven.

His first professional contract was awarded Maas at second division FC Eindhoven, where he worked in his first season, the same could win a regular place and scored one goal.

For 1990/1991, he signed for his strong performance in first division club RKC Waalwijk. There, too, Maas established as a regular force. After three seasons, he moved in 1993 to the top club Feyenoord, where he also spent three seasons and was able to establish a place in the starting eleven here.

In 1996, he was taken from the German Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld under contract. During the two years in the Bundesliga Maas quickly developed here for regular players. He then moved to Hertha BSC, where he played from 1998 to 2003. In his first two years, he was only a reserve player before he got more potential for use in 2001/2002. But could enforce the Dutch in the final analysis not, so he moved to second division club MSV Duisburg in 2003. In Duisburg, he conquered a place again as a regular force before it ran aground 2004/2005 only eight times for MSV.

In 2005 Maas returned to the Netherlands to Heracles Almelo. Problems with the coach prevented more regular missions, and after three seasons, returned to RKC Waalwijk. After the end of the season 2008/2009 Maas stepped back from active football and has been an assistant coach in Waalwijk.
