Rob Marshall

Rob Marshall ( born October 17, 1960 in Madison, Wisconsin ) is an American film director and choreographer.

Life

Rob Marshall grew up in Pittsburgh. His first film he made as a child on the Oaklands Falk School. At twelve, he began his career in the theater.

After school, he began studying at Carnegie Mellon University. He broke it and gave However, in the early 1970s his Broadway debut in the musical A Chorus Line. In 1982 he completed his studies.

After graduating, he moved to New York, where he worked as a singer and dancer in several Broadway plays. After a herniated disc at the age of 27 years when he was cast in the musical Cats, he decided to end his own representations and began to work as a choreographer. In 1993 he received a first award for his work as a choreographer in the Broadway play Kiss of the Spider Woman. In the following years he was involved in many productions.
