Rob McVicar
Robert " Rob" McVicar ( born January 15, 1982 in Brandon, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender, who was most recently at the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.
Career
Rob McVicar began his career as a professional ice hockey goaltender Brandon Wheat Kings in the, for by 2003 he was active from 1999 in the Western Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 in the fifth round as a total 151 players from the Vancouver Canucks. From 2003 to 2005 McVicar was initially exclusively for Vancouver's farm team in the American Hockey League, Manitoba Moose and their cooperation Team Columbia Inferno of the ECHL in the gate, before he made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Vancouver Canucks on December 1, 2005 three minutes stood between the posts against the Edmonton Oilers. However, the majority of the playtime spent the Canadians at the Victoria Salmon Kings in the ECHL.
After McVicar played in the 2006/07 season at the ECHL Utah Grizzlies club, he joined the following season for the first time to Europe, where he first got a contract with Totempo HvIK from the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen, before the goalkeeper on 2 February 2009 was taken from the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract. There, his contract was not renewed after the end of the season.
