Rob Schremp

Rob Schremp ( born July 1, 1986 in Fulton, New York ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is under contract with EV train from the National League A since May 2013.

Career

At 14, Rob Schremp started his career in 2000 in his hometown of Syracuse in Syracuse Junior Crunch in the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League. He was elected Rookie of the Year in 2001 and was top scorer of his team. After another season in the OPJHL Schremp was selected first overall in the 2002 OHL Bantam Draft by the Mississauga IceDogs. In his rookie season in the Ontario Hockey League, he was again the title of Rookie of the Year, in the form of the Emms Family Award. The next year he moved to three games to the London Knights and again showed his potential. Therefore, it chose the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 in the first round at 25 point. The striker was initially in the OHL and won the J. Ross Robertson Cup the Knights. As a master of the OHL team for the tournament at the Memorial Cup qualifying. In the 2006/07 season Schremp started his professional career with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the American Hockey League. On 5 April 2007 he made his debut in the National Hockey League against the Minnesota Wild. In the next season, the striker played for the farm team, the Springfield Falcons in the AHL and came to two inserts in the NHL. His first point for the Edmonton Oilers scored Schremp in the 2008 /09 season on December 3, 2008 against the Dallas Stars. With the Falcons, he missed the play-offs as last year.

In the 2009/10 season Schremp belonged exclusively to the NHL squad the New York Islanders. In 44 games, he scored seven goals, had 18 assists and collected 25 points scorer. End of February 2011, he was informed by the Islanders on the Waiverliste, chose him from the Atlanta Thrashers. After the relocation of the franchise to Winnipeg, the Winnipeg Jets decided to submit to it no qualifying offer, so Schremp in July 2011, was available as a free agent. A month later he was engaged by MODO Hockey of the Swedish Elitserien. For MODO he graduated in the sequence more than 60 missions in the Elitserien, before he moved in June along with goalkeeper Mikael Tellqvist to Dinamo Riga.

In November 2012, Schremp was first delivered to the farm team HK Liepaja Metalurgs because he could not prevail in the KHL Dinamo's squad. Connecting, he joined the EC Red Bull Salzburg.

In May 2013 Schremp signed a one-year contract with EV train from the National League A.

Family

Tyler Schremp, the brother of Rob, is also hockey players. Together they played in the 2001/02 season for the Syracuse Junior Crunch. Last Tyler was active in the low-level Minor League Southern Professional Hockey League.
