Rob Shearer

Rob Shearer ( * October 19, 1976 in Kitchener, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with the EC VSV in the Austrian Hockey League since January 2012.

Career

Rob Shearer began his career as a hockey player with the Windsor Spitfires, which until 1996 he worked from 1993 in the Canadian top junior league Ontario Hockey League. During this period he received on 5 October 1995 a contract as a free agent with the Colorado Avalanche, for whom he made ​​his debut in the National Hockey League was in the 2000/ 01 season on the ice, where he remained point - and unpunished. The rest of the time in the five years 1996-2001, in which the center in the franchise of the Colorado Avalanche was active, he spent at their farm team in the American Hockey League, Hershey Bears, with whom he in the season 1996/97 the Calder Cup won.
