Rob White (Formula One)

Robert " Rob" White ( born July 15, 1965 in Camblesforth, North Yorkshire, England) is a British engineer and head of the engine department of the Formula 1 teams by the French automobile manufacturer Renault, the Renault F1 Team.

Life

White was fascinated at a very early years of the art and motorsport. The first experiments have been conducted in the school when he constructed a kart together with a motorsport - inspired teacher and built. The engines developed into a specialized field of Rob White.

After completing his schooling, he decided against a grant of Jaguar and for a job with Cosworth. For 17 years he worked for the famous British motor forge. White took care of the inserts of Cosworth in North America. His greatest achievements during this time include the victory of Jacques Villeneuve in 1995 at the famous " 500 miles of Indianapolis ."

In 2004 he began his work in the engine department of Renault F1 at Viry -Châtillon location and has since headed the technical activities.
