Robbio
Robbio is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Pavia in Lombardy. The community is located about 45 kilometers northwest of Pavia, about 17 kilometers south of Novara and about 13.5 km east-southeast of Vercelli. The community is located near the Sesia. Robbio is immediately adjacent to the province of Novara.
History
From the 3rd century AD, Roman tombs are demonstrated. Maybe, but the place is older and is identical with the place Redobium, Pliny the Elder described. In the Middle Ages the area was among the possessions of the Duke of Milan.
Traffic
The municipality is situated on the Strada Statale 596 di Vignola. A train station is on the railway line Vercelli Pavia since 1882.
