Robert Anderson (Scotland Yard official)

Sir Robert Anderson (* May 29, 1841 in Dublin, † November 15, 1918 in London) was active from 1888 to 1901 in a managerial position ( Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police and Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department ) at Scotland Yard. Occasion of his retirement from the service, he was knighted in 1901.

Anderson was also a theologian who has published numerous books on Biblical exegesis. He belonged to the "open brethren " to.
