Robert Bauman

Robert Edmund Bauman ( born April 4, 1937 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania) is an American politician. Between 1973 and 1981 he represented the state of Maryland in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Robert Bauman drew even in his youth to Easton in Maryland, where he attended the public schools until 1953. After he graduated from the Capitol Page School in Washington DC. Afterwards he studied until 1959 at Georgetown University international political relations. After studying law at the same university and his 1964 was admitted to the bar he began to work in this profession. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. Between 1964 and 1980 he attended the Republican National Convention. From 1970 to 1973 he was a member of the National Hospital Council of the Ministry of Health. In the years 1971 to 1973 Bauman was also a member of the Senate of Maryland.

After the suicide of Mr William Oswald Mills Bauman was elected as his successor in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington at the due election for the first seat of Maryland, where he took up his new mandate on 21 August 1973. The matter, however, cost him his political career. In 1982 he attempted a return to the Congress, but withdrew his candidacy still back in the primaries.

Today Robert Bauman worked as a legal adviser to a group of banks. He has also written several books, including on tax law. He was married and is the father of four children.
