Robert Braet

Robert Braet ( born February 11, 1912 in Bruges, † February 23, 1987 ) was a Belgian football goalkeeper and football official. He looked especially at Cercle Brugge.

Life

Born in Bruges in 1912 Robert Braet played his entire professional career, from 1928 to 1948, interrupted by the Second World War, for Cercle Brugge. He played 350 games in the first and second division. The greatest success of the club in sausage meat active time was winning the Belgian Championship in 1930.

In the Belgian national Braet played 14 games in 1931. He participated in the World Cup in France in 1938, did not come as a second goalie behind Arnold Badjou however used. In addition, Braet played for the Belgian B- selection in international military games.

From 1967 to 1970, Braet President of Cercle Brugge. He died in 1987 at the age of 75 years.
