Region:

The Robert Campbell Highway ( Yukon Highway 4 ) is a mostly gravel road in the Yukon in Canada.

It is 582 km long and runs from Watson Lake on the Alaska Highway in the southeastern Yukon northwest towards Carmacks on the Klondike Highway. It provides an alternative connection from British Columbia to Dawson to track through Whitehorse.

The road was built in 1968, in which it is oriented in its course at the former fur trade route Robert Campbell, a fur trader and trapper who worked in 1840 for the Hudson's Bay Company. The only places on the road are Ross River and Faro, provide the tank opportunities and infrastructure.

During the route course two blocks from the Campbell Highway branch off: The Nahanni Range Road leads to a tungsten mine in Tungsten in the Northwest Territories. The Canol Road is a former oil supply road. It was built in 1942-1943 and results of Johnson's Crossing not far from Whitehorse to Macmillan Pass on the border with the Northwest Territories. It cuts the Campbell Highway near Ross River.

The Campbell Highway is among nature lovers a very good reputation because it is still relatively unknown and less crowded and offers a look worthy route through the middle of the Yukon.
