Robert Cecil Martin

Robert Cecil Martin is an American software developer, IT consultant and author. Robert C. Martin, also known as " Uncle Bob", since the 1970s, working in various software development projects since 1990 as an internationally recognized IT consultant. In 2001 he initiated the development of the Agile Manifesto, the foundation of agile software development. He is also a leading member of the movement software craftsmanship which the Clean Code has prescribed software development.

Robert C. Martin is the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Object Mentor Inc., C , which provides advice on the topics Java, Object-oriented programming, design patterns, UML, Agile Software Development, and Extreme Programming.

From 1996 to 1999 he was editor in chief of the C Report.
