Robert Charroux

Robert Charroux, actually Robert Grugeau ( born April 7, 1909 in Payroux, Vienne, † June 24, 1978 in Vienne, Isère ) was a French writer. He worked as one of the first with the para-scientific theory of pre- astronautics.

Biography

Charroux, originally worked for the French post office, turned in the 1940s to full-time to writing. He wrote, for example, the lyrics for the French comic book series Atomas, which appeared in the late 40s in the weekly magazine Mon Journal. For this magazine, he also wrote science fiction stories that were published in series.

Charroux is considered a pioneer in the field of pre- astronautics. In a series of non-fiction books he dealt with the question of whether and when the earth had been visited by aliens.
