Robert Cibis ( born March 21, 1973 in Lippstadt ) is a German film director.

Life

Cibis, brother of pianist Paul Cibis, graduated first in Rome and at the Nouvelle Sorbonne in Paris studying film studies, which he completed in 1997. Then he got to film production in the Master Class of the Film Academy Baden- Württemberg Film Academy and the Paris La fémis (see also: Atelier Ludwigsburg- Paris). In 2002 he received the Young Investigator Award of the German - French Journalism Prize for Half documentation chance. The film was his first directorial collaboration with Lilian Franck, with whom he is married and lives with his two children in Berlin -Mitte.
