Robert Denmark

Robert Denmark (Robert Neil " Rob" Denmark; born November 23, 1968 in Billericay ) is a retired British long-distance runner, who specializes in the 5000 -meter run.

In 1991 he won at the World Indoor Championships in Seville bronze over 3000 m and was at the World Championships in Tokyo ninth over 5000 m.

A seventh place finish at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and a ninth in Stuttgart followed at the World Championships in 1993 with 1994, the year of his greatest triumphs: At the European Championships in Helsinki in 1994, he won silver, and shortly thereafter he took, starting for England, at the Commonwealth Games in 1994 in Victoria gold. On a side trip to the half marathon he finished seventh at the Great North Run. On the non- best list suitable route he scored a time of 1:02:37 h

At the 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg, 1997 in Athens and 1999 World Cup in Seville, he left in the flow. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, he launched the 10,000 m, but also did not reach the final. The following year he finished eleventh at the Great North Run.
