Robert Dickson (ice hockey)

Robert Bruce Dickson ( born April 22, 1931) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. At the Olympic Winter Games in 1952 he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.

Career

Robert Dickson began his career as a hockey player with the Edmonton Athletic Club, for which he was active from 1947 to 1949 in the Edmonton Junior Hockey League. The season 1949/50 he spent at the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Canada Junior Hockey League ( WCJHL ). In the season 1950/51 he played several test games for a junior team, which was known under the name of Edmonton Oil Kings in 1951. There he was able to convince, and was obliged by the seniors team Edmonton Mercurys, represented by 1952 he Canada at the Olympic Winter Games.

Internationally

For Canada, Dickson participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1952 in part in Oslo, where he won the gold medal with his team. In eight games, scoring seven goals and two assists.
