Robert Fleisher

Robert Fleisher (* in New York City ) is an American composer and music educator.

Fleisher attended the High School of Music and Art in New York, studied at the University of Colorado and the University of Illinois and is a professor of composition and music theory at Northern Illinois University. He received fellowships from Yaddo, the Millay Colony, the Virginia Center, the Hambidge Center, the Montalvo Center and Mishkenot Sha'ananim.

In 1997 he published the book Twenty Israeli Composers and contributed essays and compositions to Theresa Sauer's Anthologie Notations 21 (2009) at. Except in the United States, his works were, inter alia, in Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan and the UK and at festivals such as the Noise Floor Festival of Staffordshire University, CHAT Digital Arts Festival of the University of North Carolina, the New Music Festival, University of Central Missouri and the National Conference of the Society for Electro -Acoustic Music in the United States listed.
