Robert Fowler (cyclist)

Robert Gerard "Bobby" Fowler ( born December 3, 1931 in Krugersdorp, † December 27, 2001 Johannesburg) was a South African cyclist.

Thrice Robert Fowler took part in the Olympic Games. In Helsinki in 1952, he raced in three disciplines in individual road race in the team time trial and the team pursuit. With the South African web - four ( Tommy Shardelow, Jimmy Swift, George Estman ), he won the silver medal. 1956 in Melbourne he could finish neither the road race nor the team time trial. In the Team Pursuit the South African team ( Jimmy Swift, Abe Jonker Jan Hettema ) finished fourth. Four years later, at the Games in Rome different train of four out in the first round.
