Robert Fulton (Royal Marines officer)

Sir Robert Fulton KBE ( born December 21, 1948) was Governor of Gibraltar from 2006 to 2009. He was previously Lieutenant-General of the Royal Marines.

Robert Fulton was educated at Eton College before joining the Royal Marines in 1972. In 1995 he held a command in the reaction forces of the UNPROFOR, before it was replaced by the IFOR. Between 1997 and 1998 he commanded three different brigades. In 1998 he was commander in chief of the Royal Marines. In 2001 he did in the UK Ministry of Defence as a supply manager service. On 3 June 2003 he was promoted to lieutenant general.

He is married and has two sons.
