Robert G. Harrington

Robert G. Harrington is an American astronomer.

Robert G. Harrington is co-discoverer of several comets, including 43P/Wolf-Harrington, 51P/Harrington, 52P/Harrington-Abell and 107P/Wilson-Harrington. Together with Fritz Zwicky he has the globular cluster Palomar 12 discovered.

Robert G. Harrington is not affiliated with Robert Sutton Harrington (1942-1993) to be confused, who was also an astronomer, but later appeared and at the United States Naval Observatory had while Robert G. Harrington worked at the Palomar Observatory. The asteroid ( 3216 ) Harrington was not named after Robert G. Harrington, but according to Robert Sutton Harrington.
