Robert Garner

Robert Garner ( b. 1960 ) is a British professor of political science at the University of Leicester. His research focus is his self-representation by a " political representation of non-human interests (...) as a branch of environmental ethics. In particular, the

  • Documentation of neglecting or contempt of the animal rights concept in leftist political traditions.
  • A defense of animal rights idea of a left political tradition, taking into account the utilitarian, contractarian and deontological approaches
  • The difficulties in the protection of non-human interests from the political left traditions with emphasis on the cost of free societies that accept animal rights;
  • The influence of libertarian neutrality as a characteristic of a good society;
  • And the protection of human autonomy.

Garner graduated from the University of Salford (BA ) and the University of Manchester with a degree as Master ( MA ) and subsequent promotion as a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
