Robert Garrett (basketball)

Robert Garrett ( born March 18, 1977 in Ochsenfurt, Bavaria ) is a German national basketball players.

Career

With 193 cm height Garrett plays at the position of shooting guard. He is known for his athletic and powerful style of play. With the German national team in 2005 he was Vice-European Champion. During his career he played for SpVgg Rattelsdorf, DJK Würzburg, Opel Skyliners Frankfurt, Pompea Napoli and Teramo. In the period from June 2008 to 2010 he played with the Brose Baskets Bamberg. On June 20, 2010 announced that the expiring contract is not renewed with Bamberg and Garrett leaves the club. On October 15, Garrett signed a contract with FC Bayern Munich for the 2010/2011 season in the Pro A. There he meets his former teammate Robert Maras, Steffen Hamann and Demond Greene. In August 2008 he participated with the German national team at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, for which Germany qualified to the third place in the qualifying tournament in Athens. In June 2009, some eight months after his last appearance in the DBB - shirt, Robert Garrett announced his resignation from the German Basketball Nation Creates Alma.
