Robert Goldschmidt

Robert Benedict Goldschmidt (* 1877, † 1935 in Brussels) was a Belgian physicist and inventor.

Goldschmidt hit with Paul Otlet before 1906 microfilm for libraries. He initiated in 1914 regular radio concerts and in 1907 the construction of the airship Belgique ( previously he was already active as a balloonist ). Also in 1907 he created radio connections from Brussels Palace of Justice to the fortress of Namur and the observatory in Liege. He built radio stations for the Belgian King Albert I and the Congo.

He took part in the first Solvay Conference in 1911 and was one of the organizers.
