Robert Grubb

Robert Grubb ( born January 31, 1950 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia) is an Australian actor. In Germany, he was primarily known for his role as Dr. Geoff Standish in the series The Flying Doctors.

He is married to Robin Silver and has two sons, Emerson ( b. 1982 ) and Hayden (* 1985)

Life

Only at the age of 26, Robert began his training as an actor at the National Institute of Dramatic Art ( NIDA ) and graduated in 1978. Upon graduation, he moved to the theater stage at the " South Australian Theatre" and made a name for himself as a singer. This is quickly followed by the first film roles. He played in the films Gallipoli and Mad Max - Beyond Thunderdome.

The breakthrough Robert with his role of Dr. Geoff Standish in the series The Flying Doctors. In this role he is to see a result from 17 and belonged to the end of the series in 1991 to the permanent staff.

Then he moved back to the theater. Most recently, he starred in many famous musicals such as Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Harry Bright in Mamma Mia or the Hippie Pop in We Will Rock You.

Robert Grubb is also seen in the short films Black Button and The Window. These were created in collaboration with his son Hayden, a film student and a founding member of Dark Heart Productions.
