Robert Hock

Robert Hock ( born January 12, 1973 in Šternberk, Czechoslovakia ) is a German - Czech professional ice hockey player who plays for the Heilbronner Falken in the 2nd Bundesliga since 2013.

Career

Robert Hock began his hockey career in 1990 at SC Riessersee in the 2nd League South. After the season in which the Centre had already scored 29 points scorer in 53 games, the links Sagittarius was appointed to the youth national team of Germany. In addition, he undertook the Bundesliga club Sportbund Rosenheim, where he scored nine goals in his rookie season. Following the withdrawal of Rosenheim in the 2nd Bundesliga signed him another top club, the Cologne Sharks. After only one season, however, Hock returned to Rosenheim, in the season 1995/96 he finally played again for Riessersee in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL).

Due to the less stringent regime applicable to foreigners in the early years of the DEL however Hock got very little ice age and eventually moved to the 1996/97 season back in the second- highest division, where he spent three years working for the Heilbronner EC went on the ice. Then the attacker was brought back from the Revierlöwen Oberhausen in the DEL, 2002, he returned to Cologne, but this time he had already left the city after a season again. Only 21 scorer points in sharks followed 40 points in the following season at the Adler Mannheim. After that, the center forward was two years with the Hannover Scorpions under contract, and increased its yield each time by five points and was finally in season 2005/ 06 according to Daniel Kreutzer second best German scorers around the league.

So it was like a sensation when Hocks switch to low-budget team of Iserlohn Roosters was announced. After a meeting with the new coach of the Scorpions, Hans Zach, under which he already played in Cologne, he decided to leave the capital of Lower Saxony, and signed in the Sauerland a two year contract. There Hock was top scorer in each of his first two years and led the team from the 2007/ 08 season as a captain on the ice. In November 2007, the attacker extended his contract for another two years. After public criticism of his Nichtberücksichtung in the national team coach Uwe Krupp Federal nominated him ahead of the World Cup 2008 to test two international matches against Finland, which Hock was after several years break to make a comeback in the DEB team. In the 2008 /09 season Hock was able to defend the title of the DEL - Topscorers, missed, however, unlike the previous year with the Roosters the play-offs. On September 13, 2009, he reached in the game against the Frankfurt Lions the first player to the mark of 600 points scorer. During the season he sat down, as in recent years to the top of scorer standings. In October Hock but was overtaken by Thomas Greilinger, a phase in which the entire team had problems on the offensive. In November 2009, Hock said to want to play in public at least two more years of hockey. In December 2009 he and Michael Wolf extended, with which it forms the best duo in the DEL for years, their contracts to two or three years.

At the end of the season Hock was again the best scorer of the Roosters and the league fifth. For the play-off qualification but it was not enough with Iserlohn.
