Robert Hood Saunders

Robert Hood Saunders ( * May 30, 1903 in Toronto, Ontario, † January 16, 1955 ) was a lawyer, president of the event Canadian National Exhibition, the company's CEO, Ontario Hydro, and the 48th mayor of Toronto.

Robert Saunders was very down to earth during his tenure from 1945 to 1948 as mayor. He was champion of the Toronto subway and fought for the elimination of slum settlements.
