Robert Hundar

Claudio Undari ( born January 12, 1935 in Castelvetrano, Sicily, † 12 May 2008 ) was an Italian actor who mostly worked under the stage name Robert Hundar.

Life

Undari began his film career in 1960 and sandal film The Revenge of Hercules. A year later, he played under the direction of René Clément in the comedy Hold on the bomb, darling next to Alain Delon and Ugo Tognazzi. From 1963, he was often busy at the beginning as a hero, later mostly as a villain in the at that time very popular Spaghetti Westerns, especially those of the Spanish director José Romero Marchent. His opponent was in these films as Klaus Kinski, John Saxon, Lee Van Cleef and Jack Palance. As the demand for this type films subsided, his film appearances became less frequent. His last Western, The Man from Virginia in 1977, only followed sporadic appearances; worth mentioning among the Bud Spencer comedy Buddy 1980 skin Lukas, in which he again played the villain.
