Robert Hurst (musician)

Robert Leslie " Bob" Hurst III ( born October 4, 1964 in Detroit ) is an American bassist of the post- bop. He worked with Wynton Marsalis.

Robert Hurst was known primarily as a " house bassist " with trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, whose band he belonged from 1985 ( for the album J Mood ). He also appeared as a sideman on plate Sessions by Harry Connick Jr, Kevin Eubanks, Ricky Ford, Kenny Kirkland, Branford Marsalis with ( on the album Crazy People Music), Mulgrew Miller, Marvin " Smitty " Smith, Dave Stryker and Tony Williams.
